Ana Gonzales bio

Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson, a musician's daughter from Mexico, was born to a music-loving family. She grew up listening to traditional, old boleros as well as traditional ranchero, romantic and ballads of romance. Ana is a lover of operas and tangos. Also, she loves drama performances. Ana started learning how to sing and play music in the early years by her mother. The formal vocal instruction when she was 16 years old under the famous Mexican Tenor Flavio BECARRA. In the School of Music of Guadalajara University and the School of Sacred Music of Toluca in Mexico continue to provide her with music instruction. In Guadalajara and Mexico City, she was an active member of numerous opera choruses and chamber ensembles. She sang with the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus in the United States before moving to Southern California. She is currently a member of Ensemble XXI of Redlands and regularly performs as a soloist performing classic Latin American music at private occasions. Her love and passion for the arts, music, and performing has her participating in many local projects as a performer and teacher. Ana has also been a former member of Community Chorus of Redlands as and The Inland Master Chorale and Performance Loft. Ana is grateful to be able communicate with other people her enthusiasm for the traditional Latin American music. She hopes that this will inspire younger generations to keep the music in the present.
